Department of Education and Early Childhood Development

Working in the Communication Division, responsible for marketing and communication strategy, internal and external communication, branding, digital services and event management, Alicia along with two other designers lead, shaped and supported communication of Victorian Government priorities for early childhood development, school education, and vocational education and training.

Each designer were appointed the full responsibility of various design projects, working closely with the stakeholder to manage the project from initial brief through to final production, being the brand guardians for the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.

THE STATE OF VICTORIA’S CHILDREN

A colour palette was created to clearly identify the different chapters, aiding the reader to easily navigate through the large document. The colour scheme was also applied accordingly to the charts and diagrams in each chapter. To help break up the copy-heavy document, silhouette illustrations were created to match the chapter topic, drawn to fit within the area they were positioned.

The 154pp document was designed for both print and online delivery, taking into account the size of imagery at the design stage to ensure file size was suitable for upload/download.
